When to come ?

The Tanzanian parks can be visited all over the year. With seasons, the animals migrate, particularly the gnus, who cross the Serengeti by tens of thousands to reach the Maasai Mara in Kenya. This spectacular migration which can vary during the rain season, generally begins in June. In December the gnus are back to Serengeti and it is the time of births in February.

The dry season goes from June to October, the short rain season from October to December, the long rains from March to May.

Animals are more able to observate at the dry season but some species will not easy to see...


Some others species will have a nice contrast with vegetation.
